Tip of the Month - July 2026
We talk all the time about ‘having a plan BEFORE arriving at the Bowling Alley’ AND ‘having an AFTER lane-time analysis of your actions’ while bowling.
Writing things down and journaling is always the best way of remembering things and having the notes to look back on too.
We can call these TWO ‘before & after’ lane-times:
BRIEFING AND DEBRIEFING!!
At first it can seem very time consuming to do this BUT if a Bowler is serious about improving, they will get used to this and it will just be a part of their processing ‘before & after’ practice/league/tournament.
This thought-process is particularly important to establish and create a definite way of ‘keeping a pulse on your game’ from day-to-day.
Your ‘before & after’ notes can be detailed or it can be a short overview. The important thing is that you get the information down and can understand it if you re-read it at any point. Often, we will scribble something down and not know what it meant later, so therefore we should take the time to write meaningful notes.
It is YOUR game, and YOU will get out what YOU put into it!
