What is Stroke-n-Roll

The key to a smooth, powerful, and consistent release.

Passed down from the legend Don Campbell to Randy Chism and a host of others, this technique focuses on effortless motion—no muscle, no lift, no squeeze. By letting the shoulder guide the swing naturally, the backswing frees up, the release flows, and the ball drives through the pins with incredible rotation and continuation.

Many PBA and PWBA greats, including Hall of Famers, have mastered this approach in their own way. Whether your style is traditional or unique, Stroke-N-Roll is an art anyone can develop. Experience it for yourself and unlock a whole new level in your game!

Why Stroke-n-Roll

The Secret to Effortless Power

Bowling should feel effortless, and that’s exactly what Stroke-N-Roll is all about. Our training focuses on natural feel and instinct, helping you develop a smooth, repeatable motion that maximizes power and consistency.

By refining your approach and building a solid foundation, you’ll learn how to trust your game and let the ball do the work. No more overthinking—just fluid motion, pure roll, and better results.

About Don Campbell

Don Campbell: The Legend of Stroke-N-Roll

Before the PBA even existed, Don Campbell made his living dominating lanes across the country. He had the chance to join the tour but refused—he believed he was “The Show” and if people wanted to watch, they’d have to pay him, not the other way around. A true original, Don was one of the all-time greats.

Touring with Hall of Famer Buzz Fazio in the 1960s, Don wowed crowds with his trick shots and showmanship, turning every approach into a stage. Even into his 80s, he lived and breathed bowling, calling his unique method “Stroke & Roll.” Don was a true visionary.

In his later years, he mentored passionate bowlers in Colorado, transforming those who embraced his philosophy into elite players. But Don had no patience for frustration—he knew tension killed the game. If a student let frustration take over, he’d simply walk away, knowing they weren’t ready to feel the game.

Those who did listen? They became some of the best bowlers around, thriving no matter the lane conditions or equipment. Don’s legacy lives on through Stroke-N-Roll—a technique that can elevate anyone’s game.
