Thinking back on bowling in my life…

I started at a young age with a couple lessons bowled off and on for years giving it up in my high school days . Then after along time away from the sport I decided to give it a try again. Joined a couple leagues in Longmont having great fun averaging 180. Then one day I heard some friends talking about some lesson on stroke and roll bowling and group session I thought what the heck lets go. That’s when my passion for bowling took a hugh change forward.

Met a wonderful man named Randy Chism, teaching this lesson he talked of the sport of bowling the fundamentals of the game: the mind set and the simple approach to make your game fun, better, and just more enjoyable . From that day I starting taking a lesson three times a month as it would fit into my life’s schedule. We worked on approach, posture, balance, arm swing, release of the ball, and probably the biggest change: my mind set to the game.

I went from a 180 avg bowler to 200 avg over a couple seasons . It was great but I had some health issues, while in therapy I ask my doctor if I would be able to get back to bowling he didn’t think so right handed. WOW, what an immense let down.

Sitting… Thinking… one day I called Randy said “Lets do a lesson!” He asked “Can you?” I replied “If can you teach me to be left handed!”.

Randy the great teacher and person he is said lets do it. Back to the beginning once again working on approach, posture, balance, arm swing, and the biggest of all: Mind Set. First year 85 avg, Second Year 130avg, today 175 and still getting better.

Thank you Randy Chism for your teaching, friendship and approach to the game of BOWLING.
